Step 4: The Property Search

This is where the fun starts, and honestly, it’s not that difficult. Does it really need an explanation? Probably not, but here is a short one just in case you really like to read.

It's time to sit down with your Realtor and go over what you want and don’t want in a home. You’ll cover everything from the number of beds and baths you want, to a one car garage or two, a house or condo, a pool or no pool, It’s all personal preference.

Keep in mind that your Realtor is not a magician. If you really want all the amenities of a $500k house with a $300k budget, it may be time to reel it back in and make some compromises. This is certainly true in a sellers market when inventory is tight and you find yourself in multiple offer situations.

Once you’ve found that awesome home, it’s time to make an offer. Stay tuned to learn the tips and tricks on writing an attractive offer.
